Ashley Foster - Vislor Dog Trainer

Ashley Foster - Vislor Dog Trainer

Ashley’s life has revolved around dogs and dog training. His parents have been involved in showing and working dogs, particularly German Shepherds, since before he was born.

Ashley trained and competed with his own Working German Shepherds in Dog Sport to the level of IGP-III before working for TV & film stunt dog agencies from 2014 to present.

The skills that he has learned in competitive Dog Sport gave him a great foundation for working with animals. Furthermore, his experience in the TV and film industry has been a great education for Ashley in animal behaviour and well-being.

To date, Ashley has trained hundreds of diverse kinds of dogs from highly motivated competitive Sports Dogs to pets with extremely challenging behavioural problems and he loves working with every one of them, especially our very own Vislor Antilly.

Ségolène - Vislor Dog Trainer

From a very young age, Ségolène has always been passionate about cinema and animals. Joining up with the Vislor team has helped her to combine those two passions through the work that she does.

Ségolène grew up with all sorts of animals, there was never a moment where the family home was inhabited by humans exclusively, welcoming dogs, cats, hamsters and even the ones she didn’t know they had, like dormice in the attic!

After traveling and working in the film industry in France, where Ségolène is from, she had the chance to join the Vislor team and learn from the best! She is now the proud owner of a lovely blue Merle Border Collie named Java, a true French boy at heart, as his biggest passion in life is cheese and saucisson.

There is no greater feeling for Ségolène than training dogs and doing what she loves with the fabulous animals she works with.

Bicester Training Reviews

Jodie Creed & Max (German Shepherd)

Absolute magic.

My reactive GSD hasn't even glanced at another dog since out initial training.

Can't wait to get our recall sorted too later on!

Paul Wells & Delta (German Shepherd)

It's not just about the dogs — Ashley Foster's work extends to their owners too 🙌

In addition to providing resources for training and care, Ashley empowers dog owners to build a stronger bond with their furry friends.

Bella the English Mastiff during Vislor One-to-One Dog Training - Bicester

Katie Sykes & Bella (English Mastiff)

I had 2 labradors and then added a rescued 4 year old mastiff into the mix. She was a real challenge as had already bit someone, she was reactive to dogs and people and it made walking the dogs not fun at all. She would leap and bark and pull me clean over.

After 2 hours with Ash, I couldn't believe the change in her, he is amazing with dogs and really took the time to work through the problems.

I have plenty of homework to do and I'm looking forward to doing some more with with him on how I can get to the stage of off lead and recall! I never thought I could get to this stage, honestly, if you are struggling with your dog then give these guys a call.

Fantastic results.

Charlie following Vislor One-to-One Dog Training - Bicester

Olivia Pagano & Charlie (German Shepherd x Bordie Collie)

I got into contact with Lorraine, who booked us to train with Ashley Foster.

Before our training session, our dog, Charlie, was very reactive to new dogs & people. We were unable to take him anywhere that had new people/dogs.

Ashley brought his two german shepards and a border collie with him. I had thought that it would take months to correct charlie’s behavior.

Just in two and a half hours of training with Ashley, Charlie was a new dog. He did not bark in the backyard; walked along side of Ashleys’ dogs, and did not bark while passing strangers.

Well worth the money and time. I strongly recommend Vislor training.

Ashley has changed our lives and cannot wait to continue this training moving foward.

Teddy the Cocker Spaniel following Vislor One-to-One Dog Training - Bicester

Rebecca Webb & Teddy (Cocker Spaniel)

We contacted Vislor, to help us with our cocker spaniel who has been quite reactive for some time.

Ash came to our home and spent some time getting to know Teddy. He helped educate us on different methods than what we had tried previously. Teddy has been very responsive to this and is making really good progress.

Ash is kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Finn the Labrador at Vislor Residential Dog Boot Camp - Bicester.

David D Feld & Finn (Labrador)

We sent our 2 1/2 year old yellow Labrador, Finn, to Ash Foster at Vislor because we just could not train him to heel properly and also because we could not stop him chasing animals such as rabbits, hare, pheasants and deer.

We live in the country in the middle of a large estate where game birds nest, so having an exuberant puppy zooming around and turning stone deaf when he caught sight or scent of an animal is just not acceptable.

After his time with Ash, Finn is a different dog. He minds me on first command, comes back immediately and heels well. We are absolutely delighted with the changes and enjoyed getting photos, videos and messages about Finn’s progress.

Ash brought Finn back to our home and stayed to take me out with him and show (train) me what to do, which I greatly appreciated.

It has been a very constructive and happy experience, which we can highly recommend.

Pico a Romanian rescue dog being trained by Ashley Foster - Vislor Oxfordshire

Charlotte Whiteley & Pico (Romanian rescue)

Ash has been brilliant all the way through, his skills and how he has trained his own dogs amazed us and we felt like we were in very safe hands.

We have adopted a rescue dog from Romania, he's nearly 3 and has a lot of built up anxieties, we were impressed by how quickly Pico responded to the training and we are already seeing improvements to our day to day lives.

Thank you very much, we are excited to continue our training and would happily recommend to anyone looking for a knowledgeable dog trainer

Linh Vi & Sumo with Ashley Foster during Vislor One-to-One Dog Training - Oxfordshire

Linh Vi & Sumo (Malamute)

It’s been a few months since we had training with Ash for our malamute Sumo.

It’s was such a relief to find someone after trying a few) that understood our concerns. Sumo was 2 and half years old when he joined our family and his previous owners hadn’t socialised him much as a puppy due to covid. Sumo was a terrible puller and dog reactive, not aggressive just wanted to say hello every dog he saw. But his size and over excitement and pulling made walks very stressful. Sumo had pulled me down a few times, so we were desperate for some help.

When Ash turned up in his van and dogs we were so excited as we felt here was someone who knew what he was doing. We found Ash really professional and appreciated that he took time to sit us down for a chat to really find out what we wanted to achieve from the training g session, which was to learn to to reduce the pulling dog reactivity.

Ash introduced us to a half checked collar and to be firmer with Sumo as well as give plenty of rewards. To our delight Sumo was able to walk side by side with Ash’s dogs and not pull, all this in less than an hour. We learnt a lot from Ash and used what he taught us for a couple of weeks and was then able to change back to the no pull harness (we tried this earlier, but Sumo was still pulling before the training).

We highly recommend Ash and his pack of dogs, they really helped with our Sumo 😊

Shylah the German Shepherd

Tracie Heard & Shylah

Ash and sego were amazing with our puppy gsd Shylah.

She was really reactive to cars, pushbikes and joggers and they sorted it out in no time. She is so much more relaxed when walking on the lead now.

They have so much experience with all types of dogs , our sessions were so beneficial.

It is really important to have control of your dog and this is the place to go to achieve that.

Sofia the German Spitz during Vislor One-to-One Dog Training - Oxfordshire

Kayhan Segel & Sofia (German Spitz)

My wife and I contacted Vislor for help with our German Spitz, Sofia. She has anxiety around other dogs, quickly becoming aggressive, which makes walks and visits to pubs difficult.

We tried to train her ourselves and had another dog trainer, but without results. Ash visited us to discuss our needs and meet Sofia. We then organized a 1:1 training session. Ash brought several of his dogs with him, and by the end of the session Sofia was able to walk alongside his dogs.

We were very happy with the quick results and will be taking advantage of the residential training offering while we travel over the holidays.
