West Bromwich Training Reviews
Phoebe Morgan 2 x German Shepherds
We have 2 German Shepards who we love dearly but they we’re getting a nightmare on the leads when walking very reactive, pulling, barking at everything just not listening and fighting with each other.
We found Vislor and Travis and they taught us how to work with our dogs and made us understand why they were behaving like they were giving us the knowledge and tools to have 2 well behaved dogs.
Travis is amazing he’s trained us to train our dogs it’s amazing I would highly recommend Vislor & Travis after just 2 sessions we have our dogs walking by our side listening to us amazing, we’re continuing to use the tools that Travis learned us and we are happier and so are the dogs so massive thanks 🙏
Dave Breedon & Yogi (German Shepherd)
We took a 6 month old German Shepherd who mistakenly thought he was the lead dog for a husky sledge and came away with a puppy who walked to heal beautifully.
Plus having grained from Travis an exceptional insight into the mind set of a "working line GSD puppy.
This will definitely not be the last we see of Travis and his group of trainers at Vislor as they have a mine of information far outstripping my 40 plus years of owning GSDs.
Angie H. & Ice (American Bully)
On my search for a dog trainer I came across Vislor Dog training. I called and spoke with a lady called Lorraine who explained the types of dog training they do. I explained why I needed training and the type of dog I have. Lorraine said yes we can help, she sent me a link to their website. Oh 'wow', as soon as I looked at the website and read the reviews, I was excited to book my dog in.
I met Travis who assessed my dog and gave me an education in dog behaviour & explained about socialising , over socialising . Reactive behaviour and how to deal with it & suggested methods which would be helpful.
I did a follow up after following guidance.. fantastic results. I am truly impressed and so glad I came across these lovely professional people. Very reasonably priced. Money well spent.
I would definitely recommend this company.
Ben Wong & Molly (Rottweiler Puppy)
The residential training provided by VISLOR was first class.
Travis explained clearly what training was needed to achieve the objectives. The goals were achieved within a preset time frame through balanced training [i.e. both positive and negative reinforcements].
I was updated regularly about the progress via WhatsApp. Any queries were answered promptly. Rather than putting my K9 in a kennel, this was time and money well spent.
Rob & Hunter (German Shepherd)
I don’t normally leave reviews unless something is truly awful or if something stands out as excellent and exceeding my expectations. I can certainly say in this case it’s the latter.
After just one training session with Travis, he was quickly able to identify some of my short comings as a handler. We worked on gaining control of my 5 year rescue GSD on the lead, walking at the heel with out pulling. This was done remarkably quick.
The difference is night and day, he is now walking perfectly on the lead. I’m already booked in for further sessions as Hunter has other issues which need to be managed.
It’s obvious within in minutes of speaking to Travis that he’s an expert.
I can’t recommend Vislor dog training enough, it’s well deserved 5/5 from me.
Shay Mart & Piper (Kerry Blue Terrier)
We booked in to have some one on one training lessons with Trav for our 5 month old Kerry Blue Terrier Piper. We had already booked in a 3 week residential stay with Tom & Sharne prior to this but we needed some help while we waited for that to begin (which is this weekend) Lorraine sorted it all out for me and she couldn’t of been more helpful and understanding.
We had 3 lessons with Trav in total and the change has been amazing. He’s helped so much. She is such a lovely natured and friendly dog but she was an absolute nightmare around the home. She’s so excitable. Counter surfing, barking at everything. Her barking got so bad it was affecting her toilet training because we kept having to drag her in the house before she had done her business. That could be at 6am or 11pm.
The methods Trav has taught me has improved her barking massively. And just her manners in general. Such an improvement. She still try’s it on but she actually listens to me now while before it was like I was talking to a brick wall! Trav teaches something called ‘the following state’ which has just made her much more attentive. She’s still got a long way to go with walking on the lead etc. But that isn’t what I booked the lessons for. I booked the lessons so we could get some kind of normality and calm at home.
I can’t wait too see what she’s like when she gets back from her residential stay!
Couldn’t recommend Vislor enough!
Lewis Cozens & Zuko (Spaniel)
I cannot thank Trav and the team enough for the training they provided.
Our dog had done lots of training, and was generally well behaved l, however he had a tendancy to just bolt if off the lead and would chase any birds he could find.
After 3 sessions with Trav we now have a dog who is off lead happy and doing so much better all round.
Brad Slaughter & Poppy (German Shepherd)
We took our German Shepard puppy to Vislor Dog Training as they had been recommended to us by another trainer. Both myself and Charlotte were very impressed with Trav’s knowledge and the sessions we received. Trav has equipped us with the right knowledge and advice to help us train our puppy. She isn’t perfect but she’s heading in the right direction.
Can’t recommend Vislor dog training enough well worth the money.
John Langley & Fabio (German Shepherd)
Having reached my 4th decade and having been a dog lover my whole life, I find myself watching a highly rated streaming series which stars a very well know British comedian ‘from’ Slough and an incredible GSD.
I do my research and find what I am looking for. I make the phone call and the welcoming tones of Lorraine Foster greet me. I declare that I know she is the breeder of the animal in said series… she is bemused by my compliments. I make the suggestion that I purchase a Ridgeback pup and let Vislor train him for 12 months. We talk about my breed favourites and what I am looking for in a dog. I admit that a GSD would be second on my list of choices.
One of the trainers from Vislor owns a Son of the GSD and he is preparing to let him go to the market. Photos and videos start coming through. The boy is stunning. Incredibly well trained in good manners, high level obedience and a qualified protection dog. I arrange to meet with the dog and other members of the Vislor team. I am very impressed. Travis insists on showing me the full ability of Fabio – this includes the dogs protection ability. I am stunned and now nervous. The animal is a thoroughbred. I am not even a beginner. Travis declared “you will not find a better dog”. I wondered if he was attempting to moonlight as a salesman. I was wrong. Travis was right. To Lorraine I said something like “Forget everything I have ever said about a Ridgeback – this dog is the right dog for me and my family”
For the next four weeks I was like an expectant first time mum, running around preparing for the new arrival. At every step Lorraine or Craig were on hand to help and make things simple. Little did I know that in the background the police, military, private security, and families looking for protection dogs are also expressing interest in MY dog. Vislor had made their decision; they wanted the animal to come to me and have a family life with me. They stuck to their word.
I am not going to type verse and line on every aspect of the three day handover to introduce Fabio to my family and myself and to teach me how to handle, play, exercise and continue with his ongoing training. However the commitment and professionalism was to a level that I don’t think can be beaten. So where am I now? My wife greets the dog every morning with a smile and admits that he is better than we could ever have planned or expected (Travis was right). The children love him. He is so reliable it is startling. He is the best behaved in the family – including the adults. My PA suggest that she has never seen me so complete and content. I am constantly stopped and complimented on the incredible animal by my side.
Yes, I am in love however my affection, admiration and gratitude to Vislor is as boundless as my former love of Ridgebacks. Regarding Vislor, I simply cannot thank Travis, Lorraine, Mo and Craig enough. They have gone above and beyond on everything. I would never entertain a Pup in the future without first consulting with them and then committing to some sort of residential training.
Their pre trained animals are pure investment and tremendous value for money
Tim Lewis & Beau (Malinois)
If you love your dog and want the very, very best for them - go and see Travis and Vislor.
He teaches you in a relaxed, non judgemental way, encourages and doesn't mince his words when necessary - which we needed!
If there was another star, I'd have given it.
