West Bromwich Training Reviews

Roger Miles & Ruairi (formerly Enzo)
It’s been a totally pawsitive experience with everyone at Vislor. We’re loving Lab puppy Ruairi as our newest family member. He’s not only gorgeous and friendly, he really is a very good boy, thanks to Lorraine and Travis – what a delight!
From the moment we first contacted Vislor, it was clear that they’re an exceptional outfit, a cut above all the others out there. Professional but also very friendly and Lorraine is always super quick to respond. The whole Vislor team clearly cares about what we’re looking for in a dog. Lorraine and Travis have a real focus and interest in Ruairi’s specific character and needs. They like to know what sort of life he has with us, so they can support it with just the right elements of training.
Lorraine and the team are easy to talk to, they listen carefully and are generous in sharing their insights and skills. Rather than just listing a random load of methods we could use, they always take the time to show us specific methods, to guide us through what Ruairi needs. So, all the basic instructions as well as more advanced things like walking to heel, waiting by the door, and not jumping up when excited. They really do know pretty much everything there is to know about how and why dogs behave as they do! There seem to be no problems they haven’t already worked out how to deal with.
As I didn’t really “speak dog” before this, Vislor have been brilliant at helping to understand how Ruairi thinks, so we have realistic expectations of how to behave with him. There are so many simple ways to change things for the better, when you know how, as we do now.
Lorraine is a lovely, caring person to deal with. She offers lots of support and communicates really well, making little videos for us to show what to do if we’re ever stuck. Practical advice has also been great – things like which leads to use (and how), the best food, crates, everything. Absolutely we’d recommend them, if you’re looking for dog training that’s super-effective, because they understand how important it is for you as owner and your furry friend to work together – it’s so important to engage with both sides, as Vislor understand so well.
We’re so glad we found Vislor. Ruairi is a cheerful and well-behaved puppy, and we’re more confident owners, thanks to Lorraine and Travis. We’re glad to have Ruairi visit Vislor for training top-ups as he grows up, because he loves it there and we enjoy the results. Thanks, Vislor, you’ve brought us a lot of happiness!

Lynne Taylor & Erik (German Shepherd/Malinois)
I would 100% recommend Vislor Dog Training Centre.
After trying other dog trainers who could not help me with Erik, my 10 month old GSD/Malinois, I contacted Lorraine who was so friendly and helpful. She organised an initial assessment session with Travis, who was very professional and reassuring, and helped me to understand Erik's problems and what training would be needed.
I decided to send Erik on the three week residential training programme with Mo. Oh my goodness, what a difference! Erik is like a different dog! He now walks so well on the lead, no pulling, lunging and barking at other dogs and people.
I understand there are no quick fixes and that I need to continue to use the techniques so patiently (and humorously!) taught to me by Mo. Nothing was too much trouble for Mo, he gave me daily updates and regular videos and phone calls. He is such a dedicated and hard working trainer, I could tell that he genuinely cared about Erik's progress.
Mo was absolutely brilliant and I fully agree with his philosophy 'Changing the world one dog at a time.'
Thank you so very much Mo, you have certainly changed our lives!

Cheryl Freestone & Burt (English Bull Terrier)
We met Moses today for a training session with our Bull Terrier who has been experiencing certain dominance issues, we have tried 2 different trainers up until now with limited success and after reading Vislors previous reviews decided to try them
I must say from our initial contact communication was fantastic, upon arrival at our first greeting we were met with a very pleasant welcoming reception, time was taken to explain everything to us about the reasons behind the behaviours we were experiencing and a stong plan put in place to move forward with.
We found Moses to be very knowledgeable and affable, with everything broken down to clearly understandable levels. He clearly loves his job and having the ability to assist in making sure our fur babies having absolutely the best life possible.
An honest, guy and genuine passionate dog lover.
Would not hesitate to recommend.
Thank you

Sue Creary & Reggie (German Shepherd)
We contacted Moses after our German shepherd bit someone. Our Reggie is such a kind, gentle but protective part of our family.
Moses has guided us through a training programme, meeting us very quick in person and spending a lot of time teaching us to train our dog. He advised on what equipment to buy and has been at the end of the phone for emotional support and guidance. Talking to us, explaining and sending training videos.
In 3 short weeks our Reggie is a different dog. Is now listening more and following instructions.
We feel more in control now and we could not have done this without Moses, he is a brilliant trainer and we will be forever grateful for his kindness and support.

I recently attended a workshop at Vislor dog training with my dad, and I can confidently say that it was an absolutely amazing experience. From start to finish, the workshop was not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable. We were able to witness significant improvements in our dogs in such a short period of time, and we couldn't be happier with the results.
Despite the fact the journey to Vislor takes us over two hours, it was absolutely worth every minute of travel time. The team at Vislor dog training is simply outstanding. They are a group of kind-hearted individuals who are not only welcoming but also extremely helpful. It is evident that their main goal is to assist and support dog owners in achieving success.
Throughout the workshop, we were actively involved in every aspect of the training process. The team ensured that we fully understood the techniques and methods being taught, and they were always available to answer any questions we had. Their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile truly impressed us.
Looking ahead, we are eagerly anticipating the next workshop at Vislor dog training. The positive impact it had on our dogs and our relationship with them is beyond measure. We highly recommend Vislor to anyone seeking exceptional dog training and an enriching experience

Alena Fielding & Fox (German Shepherd Cross)
Travis and Lorraine – an absolute dream team! It’s a 2hr trip each way for me, but 100% worth it. When I first contacted Vislor to get help on my dogs’ reactivity and general obedience, Lorraine got in touch straight away to talk through my requirements. She was genuinely interested in all aspects of my dogs’ lives and their characters, what training I’ve done previously, etc. – I was really impressed with this individual approach. This was nicely dovetailed by the introductory chat with Travis when I arrived for my first session. Travis was there to listen and understand, he didn’t jump in straight away with ‘methods and programmes’; this meant that the training that followed was tailored to me, my dogs, and our particular situation.
Travis’ knowledge and experience of dogs cannot be over-stated. He really knows his stuff; he’s seen it all. This means, you don’t waste your time on generic techniques that are unsuitable for your dog; you learn to understand your dog – and recognise their limitations – rather than expecting your dog to be ‘fixed’ and perfect. For example, Travis was clear and honest with me that my German Shepherd Fox is, and always will be a nervous dog – not one for busy doggy daycare freefall sessions, just not his kind of scene. However, there is so much I can do to make Fox used to situations that cause him stress, so it is a more ‘normal’ experience for us both.
Lorraine is an absolute pleasure to deal with – always so supportive and accommodating. Vislor communication is impeccable, and the whole non-training side of things runs smoothly and efficiently. Lorraine is always there for my random questions, she provided great advice on transport crates, for example.
I’m so glad I found Vislor training, my dogs are doing so much better all round, and I have a lot more confidence in handling them, knowing I’m doing the right thing. Thank you Lorraine and Travis!
Maurice Millington
A big thank you to VISLOR for organising the 3 Day protection workshop.
Dirk delivered an educational lecture from his vast knowledge of the sport. He was able to adapt easily to the dog and handler needs.
Thank you to Lorraine for heading the support team from VISLOR and a huge thanks to the helpers from Team Marches, without their help the event would not have been possible.

Luca Rnic & Xena (Doberman)
Best place to go for IGP training in the UK, specifically the midlands, in my opinion.
I train full time with Trav and i’m a member of their IGP club. I’ve trained with a variety of trainers who specialise in IGP and they have been good, but training with Trav has been excellent.
Lorraine discussed with me what I was looking to achieve and how Vislor could help. She got me booked in very swiftly.
If you are looking for general obedience, reactivity or sport/working training sessions, I would highly recommend Vislor.
They are a very welcoming group of people and have a great range of experience with a wide array of dogs.

Davinder Kalia & Rocco (Staffordshire Bull Terrier)
Wow what can I say.
I used the services of Vislor Dog Training Centre after getting a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy. Having no real experience will dogs we opted for the puppy training package. From the very first session at our home we could see the difference in behaviour from our puppy.
Moses (the trainer) what a guy, he explains everything in simple terms not only teaching our puppy but also trains us to be confident in teaching our puppy a level of obedience I could not thought was even possible. We found walking our puppy very frustrating due to his pulling and wanting to interact with every dog and person he saw, this was an area Moses really wanted us to focus on.
Fast forward a couple of sessions and I now have a dog that does not pull at all or be reactive to other dogs and people. Moses throughout could not be any more helpful always wanting updates and videos on the progress of our puppy between our sessions, giving us the confidence that we were on the right track.
He has left us with a puppy that has had the best possible start to develop into a wonderful dog and be part of our family.
Thank you Vislor Dog Training and thank you Moses.

Penelope Dukes & Shadow (German Shepherd)
Our very reactive GSD went to Mo for 3 weeks and this morning I walked him for the first time ever without feeling like I had done a full body workout trying to stop him barking and lunging at well just about everything and everyone.
Mo was brilliant not just with Shadow but with us too - he rightly told us that there is no quick fix but he has laid the very best foundations for us to build on.
I was unsure about sending Shadow away as we are his second home and he is not yet 2 but it was the best decision ever - Mo and the other Vislor trainers who have worked eith Shadow have done an amazing job they are the ultimate professionals and I would absolutely recommend them 💯 % to anyone
